One warm Summer evening, right around dusk, I sat down on the pavement outside of my church as I waited for a ride home. Before long, I was struck by the simplistic beauty of "The Little Church" that sat directly across the street from our newer, more modern sanctuary, but which we still used for a variety of events now & then. It was rich with history, built by the hands of some of our original town folks, and long since outgrown, but not forgotten. Racing against the sunset, I decided to sketch "The Little Church" right then & there, hoping to capture the essence of its simple charm. For it was clear to me as the sun set, that God must still be very much at home in this lovely place of worship... all these years later!
