The Votes are in! The Selected Charity for 2018 is…

Every year, we donate 10% of every  religious gift purchase from our website to an organization that supports kids who have been diagnosed with cancer. Last year, we helped children at Camp Can Do enjoy new programs and supplies. And this year, we set out a goal to help even more kids.

Earlier this year, we asked you to vote for the charity that you wanted to receive our donations. And with your help, we have officially chosen the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Delaware (CCCFD) as our charity for 2018!

What is the CCCFD?

The CCCFD is a non-profit organization that receives their funding entirely from members, friends, parents of patients, and contributors like you. Established in 1997 to help improve the quality of life for children with cancer, the CCCFD provides funding for kids who are being treated at the A.I Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE.

The CCCFD gives children goods and gifts to help them enjoy their stay at the hospital. One of their first projects was donating a TV and VCR to the oncology department so that the kids could watch shows and movies every day. Since then, they have continued to offer new gifts and complete new projects to help children keep their minds off of their illnesses.

This organization is very close to the heart of our founder, Barbara D. MacAdam, because her daughter, who unfortunately passed away from cancer, was treated at the A.I Dupont Hospital for Children for a year.

And to give back to the place that did so much for her daughter, Barbara ultimately decided on this organization. Funding for the CCCFD will go directly to the children in the oncology department at the hospital.

What You Can Do to Donate

This year, we give you not just one, but  two  ways to give back to the CCCFD:

Every time you purchase a blessing from the Purple Wishing Gate website in 2018, you are helping the children at the A.I Dupont Hospital for Children. All you have to do is find the perfect  religious gift idea for your daughter, sister, or other family member and purchase the blessing for her. Then, 10% of your purchase will go directly to the CCCFD.

Every time a new person likes our  Facebook page, Barbara will make a $1 donation to the CCCFD (up to $1,000). If 1,000 people like our page, we could make a serious dent in our donation goal. And all it takes is the touch of a button.
