Every year at PurpleWishingGate.com we select a non-profit organization to donate 10% of our proceeds to. We are thrilled to renew our commitment by partnering with “Camp Can Do” for the year 2022. We are proud to be a company that donates when you buy one of our blessing gifts.
Much like everything else during this Pandemic, the traditional role of the teacher is morphing into something new and unexpected. Like the pioneers of old, they’re forging the way through frontiers both exciting and scary, while being expected to lead our children on a journey through uncharted territory.

...after the horrific events of 9/11 unfolded before our eyes, it seemed as if nothing positive could ever come from that day. Then, slowly we started to hear the stories of how a car battery dying, a missed bus, a sudden illness and even a disabling car crash prevented people from being at the twin towers during the time of the attack. Crisis in those moments, turned out to be blessings in disguise!
In this story, a young angel traveling with her mentor, learns that you can’t always predict or understand just how much God’s love is in play – especially when things look so bad. The angels spent the night in the home of a very wealthy family. The family was rude and insisted that the angels spend the night in the cold basement instead of the mansion’s guest room.

How quickly we moved from the Holiday Spirit to Valentine’s Day! I guess it’s a good thing that in our culture, we let LOVE be the thing that continues to propel us forward after a season of giving. Love is the common thread that’s woven throughout each life in the most extraordinary ways. At PurpleWishingGate.com, I’m dedicated to sharing that love through my words of inspiration and encouragement to those in all walks of life.
I find that the older I get, the more I love January because it’s my chance to “start all over again!” To reinvent myself if I wish. Get rid of all those old clothes I haven’t worn in years, toss the dozens of kitchen gadgets I keep saving for whenever, and organize my calendar once and for all. After researching these tactics, here’s what I’ve learned – I hope it’ll help.
Following my little Bonnie’s wishes, I'm donating money for gift cards to the Children living on the Oncology Ward at the A.I. Dupont Hospital in Wilmington, DE... So THEY can give Christmas presents to their parents or loved ones! Please help us reach our goal of $25 to every in-patient child, by Liking Us On Facebook. We hope to reach 4,000 Likes by Christmas, so please spread the word!
SERVING OTHERS – Finally, let’s not forget those who have so much less than ourselves, and who may be one meal away from losing hope. Perhaps you’ve never thought about doing this, but why not forgo the turkey and stuffing around your own table and go help at a nearby soup kitchen or homeless shelter this Thanksgiving. The thing is, you can always celebrate your own Thanksgiving Day dinner the next (or any other) day of the year.
Have you ever tried your hand at a seemingly “easy” DIY craft project?
